
For interested youth who are in 6th grade and above and have an interest in agriculture or would like to learn more are invited to become part of the Dakota/Rice Agriculture Education Leaders (formerly Agriculture Education Representatives) group this year.

This event is geared towards families who are new or newer to the 4-H program and wanting to learn more about fair week.

Do you hope to exhibit with 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair? All 4-H livestock exhibitors must complete livestock quality assurance training. Youth in 3-5 grades who exhibit in the swine project are also asked to complete this training.

A night of family fun!

County fair is going to be here before we know it. Families are busy preparing in different ways - registering for the classes to exhibit in, working with their projects, thinking about how they can volunteer, etc. There are a lot of pieces to think about and it can be overwhelming, especially if this is a newer part of your life. Some of our seasoned youth and adult volunteers would like to help make this experience a smoother one.

This is a great way to learn more about outdoor gardening, get some of your gardening questions answered and help play a role in creating pollinator friendly environments.
Each year the SE region puts together an invitational project bowl contest for teams to participate in prior to the regional competitions. This event is intended to be a place for teams to become familiar with the regional competition rules, how the contest is run, and allow new teams a place to ‘get their feet wet’.

Let’s Talk about Mental Health is a five-session series designed to provide a safe place for youth to have important conversations about mental health and wellbeing. This series demonstrates to youth that they are valued and welcomed by 4-H and gives all youth the tools to be supportive and effective.
