Minnesota 4-H has many events throughout the year. You can come to watch, volunteer to help make them possible, or if you are in kindergarten to one year past high school, you can join in. 4-H is for you!
Minnesota State Fair
4-H at the Minnesota State Fair is not just a fun annual event. Every summer, thousands of 4-H youth participate in the state fair to showcase the knowledge and skills they've gained throughout the year, and to continue their learning experiences.
County fairs
Every summer, 4-H youth participate in Minnesota county fairs to showcase the knowledge and skills they've gained throughout the year, and to continue their learning in project areas designed to equip them with essential life skills such as problem solving, decision making, project management, communications and public speaking.

Share the Fun State Fair Showcase
4-H'ers from across Minnesota prepare and perform a play, dance, musical, or other act.
State Arts-In
An eight-day, intensive arts experience in which 4-H'ers create an original musical play. They then perform it several times each day of the Minnesota State Fair.
Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU)
BLU is an exciting and fun leadership adventure. More than 400 youth from across Minnesota learn and practice valuable leadership skills.
Citizenship Washington Focus
Minnesota youth join others from all over the country in Washington, D.C. to:
- Learn about citizenship, government and the legislative process
- Meet with elected officials
- Visit national monuments and historical sites
Upon returning to Minnesota, they develop an action plan and put it into place in their communities.
Teens Engaged in Emerging Leadership (TEEL)
TEEL is a workshop for youth in grades 10+ to gain valuable leadership skills while connecting with peers from other counties and regions.
YELLO conference
Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Opportunities (YELLO) is a four-day leadership conference. Youth from all over Minnesota join in:

- An afternoon of fun on the town
National 4-H Conference
A working conference in which youth and adults, at the invitation of the U.S. secretary of agriculture, develop recommendations to guide 4-H Youth Development Programs nationally and in their communities.
Shooting Sports National Championships
A week-long competition. 4-H'ers can earn a spot during the Shooting Sports and Wildlife Invitational.
Shooting Sports and Wildlife Invitational
Minnesota 4-H youth in grades three through one year past high school who have completed 15 hours of shooting with a certified instructor and eight hours of wildlife education may participate in the following areas: archery, muzzleloading, shotgun, air rifle, air pistol, .22 rifle, silhouette shoot and a skill-a-thon.
Shooting Sports and Wildlife Leader Certification
This training is designed to cover the needed knowledge and rules to become a certified instructor in one discipline: archery, muzzle-loading, shotgun, air rifle/air pistol/.22 rifle, wildlife and coordinator.
Engineering Design Challenge
The engineering design challenge encourages critical thinking, creativity, innovation and problem solving in a non-traditional learning event while having fun!
National Youth Science Day
An exciting, interactive learning experience that engages thousands of youth across the country in conducting the National Science Experiment.
