Getting ready for and taking part in the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show gives 4-H'ers life skills. It's always a great experience for them and their families.
At this show, you will see 4-H'ers of all ages showing their riding skills in Western and English styles, their knowledge of horses and teamwork.
The public is welcome to come and watch the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show, running Sept. 13-16. Check out a schedule of highlights for this day below.

- Activities start at 7 a.m.

Compeer Arena
- Activities start at 7 a.m.
- Showmanship at halter

- Western pleasure type - grades 10 and up
- Western pleasure type - grades 9 and under

- Grand Champion showmanship class
- Drill team classes to follow showmanship at halter, but not before noon.
Sheep Barn
- 7:30 a.m. - Horse related judging
- 8:30 a.m. - Horseless horse judging
- 3 p.m. - Horseless horse and horse related awards followed by activity awards, including horse judging, Hippology Contest and Speech and Demonstration Contest.

Audience
Show is open to the public. 4-H participants must qualify at their county horse show.
Language
This offering is delivered in English. Interpreter services may be available with an advance request.
Cost
- Participating 4-H'ers will need to pay a program fee with their registration.
- Free for spectators.
