4-H clover Meet the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors

From plants to livestock, these dedicated youth serve as positive representatives for agriculture and the Minnesota 4-H program. Agriculture ambassadors work as a team to promote agriculture and 4-H in a positive way. They represent a diverse group of 4-H projects and programs and are selected for a one- or two-year term.

Nick B. 

Hi, my name is Nick B., and this is my second year as an ag ambassador. I’m currently a junior at Rosemount High School and have been in 4-H for 10 years. 

I’m very excited to continue spreading the word about agriculture throughout Minnesota and all the fun opportunities that come with this program.


Maddie B. 

Hi! My name is Maddie B., and I am from Pine Island. I show in Dodge County 4-H. I have been in 4-H for about nine years and enjoy participating in the following projects: horse, dog, photography, veterinary sciences and gardening. I am a freshman at South Dakota State University studying animal science and pre-vet. 


Rylee B. 

Hello, I’m Rylee B. I am from Douglas County, and I show meat goats and beef cattle. I am also a part of the general livestock judging team. 

I am very excited about this opportunity to teach others about agriculture.


William C.

Hi, my name is William C., and I am a junior at Houston High School. I have been involved with dairy goats for eight years. I breed Toggenburgs and Alpines, as well as a few other breeds. I show outside of 4-H at ADGA club shows and at the national level. My other hobbies include playing piano, singing, playing basketball and hiking.

I am looking forward to promoting the dairy goat and agricultural industry.


Allison D.

Hello, I am Allison D. I’m a junior at Farmington High School. I have been a member of Dakota County 4-H for 12 years, where I show rabbits and many non-livestock projects. This is my second year in the agriculture ambassador program. I love advocating for all aspects of agriculture and being able to meet people from unique backgrounds.

Outside of 4-H, I am active on my school’s dance team, color guard team, FFA, choir and National Honor Society.


Riley E.

I am Riley E. from Martin County. In 4-H, I am involved at the club, county and now the state level. I have exhibited swine, goats and sheep. I enjoy networking with other people and growing my knowledge about the agricultural industry. 


Keith H.

I have been in 4-H for 11 years. I am part of the livestock judging team in Rice County. I also show chickens and swine.


Brianna J.

I am a sophomore at Stephen Argyle Central and was last year's FFA chapter president. This year, I am the FFA student advisor. I have a deep affection for all living creatures.


Erica K.

My name is Erica K., and I am from the Willing Workers 4-H Club in Wright County. I have been in 4-H for 11 years and enjoy participating in the poultry, sheep, communication and youth leadership projects. I am a senior at Delano High School, active in cross country, skiing and the National Honor Society. 


Shelby L.

My name is Shelby L., and I am from McLeod County. I am currently a senior at the Hutchinson High School. I show Black Angus cattle from our cow-calf operation. In school, I am involved in varsity soccer, track and field and National Honor Society.


Kari M.

Hello! My name is Kari M., and I am from Martin County. This is my second year as a Minnesota 4-H Agricultural Ambassador, and I am so excited for the year ahead. Through 4-H, I have enjoyed being involved at the club, county and state level, as well as being part of the swine project for 10 years. 

I love keeping agriculture close to my heart and can't wait to continue sharing my passion for 4-H this upcoming year.


Mercadez M.

Hi, my name is Mercadez M. I have been in the Anoka County 4-H program for seven years. I show dairy cattle, market goats, dairy goats, llamas, swine, poultry and rabbits. I absolutely love it! 

I am so excited to be an agricultural ambassador this year.

 


Luke M.

I’m Luke M., and I’m excited to serve as an ag ambassador. I enjoy working on my family farm, where we have beef cattle and grow corn and soybeans. I’m involved in the 4-H beef project and enjoy participating in livestock judging.


Mattea Q.

Hi, my name is Mattea Q., and I'm a sophomore at Hastings High School. I have been in 4-H for 11 years, where I've been involved in the beef, dairy, meat goat and sheep projects, as well as many general project areas. Aside from 4-H, I'm involved in FFA, horticulture club, student council, FCA, cross country, show choir and track. 

I look forward to teaching others about the agriculture industry in the coming year.

Ellie S.

Hello! My name is Ellie S., and I am a 4-H agriculture ambassador from Dodge County. Some of my favorite parts of 4-H are showing livestock projects, like dairy and sheep, and the leadership opportunities, including ag ambassadors, county ambassadors and county youth leadership council, as well as state and national events. 

As a returning agriculture ambassador, I am excited to learn about agriculture in other parts of the state, continue sharing the story of agriculture, network and make friends.


Mikayla S.

Hello, my name is Mikayla S., and I have been in 4-H since I was in kindergarten. I am now a senior in high school. I am from Isanti County and show cattle and sheep. One of my biggest passions is sharing my knowledge of agriculture with the public. 

This will be my second year as a 4-H agricultural ambassador, and I am excited to serve again this year. 


Savannah S.

Hello, my name is Savannah S. I have been in Chisago County 4-H for about six years, and I am very excited to be a state ag ambassador. I mostly show rabbits, but it is one of my goals to show all species of livestock before I graduate.


Sophie S.

Hi, my name is Sophie S., and I am from Wright County. I am a high school sophomore and have been in 4-H for 11 years. Throughout my years in 4-H, I have participated in the dairy and rabbit projects and my county's dairy bowl team, advisory council and federation. 

Besides 4-H, I'm involved in FFA, choir and student council. I am also a Wright County Dairy Ambassador. Some of my hobbies include helping on my great uncle's dairy farm, spending time with my family, working at our pumpkin patch and playing piano.


Amanda S.

Hi, I am Amanda S. I have been showing rabbits and non-livestock projects for eight years in Olmsted County. I enjoy raising animals and gardening on my family’s small farm.


Dylan T.

Howdy! My name is Dylan T., and I am a junior at Rosemount High School. I’ve been in Dakota County 4-H for around 12 years. I show dairy cattle, and I am a member of both the dairy judging and quiz bowl teams. Outside of 4-H, my hobbies include reading, writing, public speaking and neuroscience.

I am honored to represent Dakota County and empower the youth of 4-H.


Kayla V.

Hi, my name is Kayla V., and I am a junior at Hutchinson High School. This is my second year serving as a Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador. I have been involved in my county's 4-H club for 10 years. Through 4-H, I show dairy cattle and market lambs, along with participating in many other non-livestock projects. 

I am excited to start my second year as an ambassador and advocate for the agriculture industry. 


Miriam W.

Hi, I'm Miriam W., and I'm from Chisago County. I am a junior this year and a Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) student at Century College. Through my four years in 4-H, I have discovered that ag is my passion and that I particularly love poultry. 

I hope to have a lot of fun learning while being an ag ambassador for Minnesota 4-H.

Hi, my name is Josh Y. I grew up on a farm and plan to continue to live an agricultural lifestyle. I consider myself hardworking, determined, assertive, curious, optimistic and straightforward.
