4-H youth in grades 3-13 who completed the required member certification hours under the guidance of a certified instructor and eight hours of wildlife education are invited to attend the 4-H Shooting Sports & Wildlife Invitational September 6-8 at the Alexandria Shooting Park. This event involves approximately 800 young people and is the culmination of the year-long shooting and wildlife project. Individuals must register by July 8.

The Anoka County 4-H State Shoot registration packet contains county-specific details that are vital to review to register and plan for this exciting experience for your 4-H’er.
Registrations due by July 8
Registrations are due Monday, July 8, to the Anoka County 4-H office. 4-H staff will pass on registrations for instructors to sign for you. Registrations must be turned in with the following completed:
- Registration form
- Wildlife hours verification form
- Payment (checks payable to University of Minnesota)
- Anoka County State Shoot t-shirt order (if ordering additional shirts; separate check payable to Anoka County 4-H)
Forms may also be brought to equipment checkout scheduled for Tuesday, July 9.
Camping/Lodging
The Anoka County 4-H Shooting Sports Committee has arranged a group camping spot at Oak Park Kampground. Contact Janet at 320-834-2345 to reserve your spot. Be sure to mention that you are with the Anoka County 4-H group. Reservations need to be made ASAP.
