The Minnesota Agroforestry Institute is a two-and-a-half-day workshop that includes classroom sessions and on-farm visits. Participants learn how to integrate agroforestry concepts into a practical farm plan.
We will discuss the five agroforestry practices (windbreaks, silvopasture, alley cropping, riparian forest buffers and forest farming) and how to design and implement them.
2.5 CEUs are available for participants.
This training is for anyone working with landowners who want to plant working trees for multiple benefits on their land, including local service providers like SWCD, NRCS, DNR, and agriculture and forestry consultants.
This offering is delivered in English. Interpreter services may be available with an advance request.
$100
Registration closes Sept. 11, 2024, at 5 p.m.
