4-H clover Devoted volunteer Angela Tveit works to create meaningful youth programs

Over the past five years, Angela Tveit has devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy into her role as a volunteer for Chisago County 4-H. From creating lessons, to helping establish new partnerships and mentoring youth leaders, her service has had a huge impact on 4-H’ers.

“Angela has given herself in so many ways, and she does it all with humility, appreciation and joy,” says Jeremy Freeman, local Extension educator in Chisago County.

Within her volunteer role, she designs and implements high-quality programming for young people, allowing them to develop important leadership skills, pursue their passions and grow as individuals.

“Without Angela’s service, our 4-H program would not have the reach, impact and value that it has today,” Freeman says.

Angela’s passion for working with youth is apparent, and she has an incredible talent to guide youth in being creative and cultivating their critical thinking skills.

“She also takes the time to focus on activities that address youth’s social and emotional needs. Angela inspires and challenges youth to explore their potential,” says Nicole Klanderud, a 4-H parent in Chisago County.

Angela’s exemplary service resulted in her winning the 2022 Minnesota 4-H Salute to Excellence Volunteer of the Year Award, as well being voted North Central Volunteer of the Year for 2022 by the National 4-H Council.

“It is without a doubt that our 4-H program, our 4-H families, and our community have been made better because of the outstanding impact Angela has made as a 4-H volunteer,” Freeman says.
