Anoka County 4-H youth leaders are invited to apply for awards to recognize significant contributions to Anoka County 4-H and to celebrate your personal growth and accomplishments as a result of your participation in the 4-H program. We will honor and celebrate award winners on Friday, December 6 at the Celebration of 4-H Youth Excellence.
Youth may self-nominate for all awards and nominations by volunteers are accepted for all awards except the Key Award. 4-H youth leaders who completed 6th grade last year and older are eligible to submit award applications. Each award may only be earned once in a 4-H’ers career.
Award categories
Applications will be completed via google forms (except the Key Award). All award applications are due Friday, November 8. Late applications will not be considered. Award recipients will be notified via email.

Beginner Youth Leader online award application
Questions
- Club Affiliation or Independent
- Number of years in 4-H
- Grade (grade completed spring 2024)
- Tell us about leadership the youth has provided at the county level. Consider committees, activities/events, and/or project areas. (Examples: Project Committees, Y.E.S., Share The Fun, Project Bowl, County Fair, Arts-In, Project Workshop Day, etc.)
- If part of a club, tell us about the youth's responsibilities within the club. (Examples: Held office, planned event or club project, Cloverbud leader, mentor, etc.)
- Choose a project area/activity the youth is involved in. Describe how the youth is showing leadership or growth in this area.
- What 4-H leadership goals does the youth have?
Is there any other relevant information you would like to share?

- Please submit 1-3 photos of the youth participating in 4-H events, programs, etc. These will be used in a video to recognize award winners.
- Who has impacted the youth? This could be a 4-H'er, adult volunteer, or staff member. (Not required question.)
Advanced Youth Leadership online award application

- What was a challenge this 4-H youth leader encountered? What did they do about it?

- What are two valuable character traits the youth developed while participating in Anoka County 4-H? Explain.
- Is there any other relevant information you would like to share? (Not required question.)

Must have completed sophomore year in high school, at least 5 years of 4-H and at least 3 years of youth leadership. Application must be sent via email to Anna Gilbertson.
