The Young Adult Beef Camp is a half-day event designed for 14- to 20-year-olds interested in cow-calf health and management.
The program will focus on preparing calves for weaning, choosing replacements, bull selection, and dystocia management using Helga the Hereford — a life-sized cow replica that can simulate assisted calvings.
Attendees will rotate between three stations to learn in a hands-on model after a group presentation at the beginning of the event. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
14-20 year old young adults interested in cow-calf health and management.
This offering is delivered in English. Interpreter services may be available with an advance request.
