These educational opportunities are for small to medium-sized fruit and vegetable farms, but any farmer or gardener is welcome to attend.

The Minnesota Beginning Farmer Institute uses an interactive approach to learning about farm management for farmers at the beginning of their farming careers or anyone needing an ag business management refresher.

The Produce Safety Rule, part of the federal Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), requires that fruit and vegetable farms that grow, pack, harvest or hold produce and that do not qualify for an exemption or exclusion from the Rule attend this training.
