SowBridge distance educational programs provide relevant and accurate information from university and industry experts.

Get the information you need without the hassle of traveling or giving up a whole day to attend a meeting. Producers and others in the industry can participate from home, in an office or in the swine unit.

How does SowBridge work?

Register in January for a year of monthly SowBridge presentations.

Monthly live presentations are delivered by topic experts on Zoom. Recordings are available online for 6 months after the session. Before each session, subscribers will receive an email message with links to participate and download the materials for that session.

SowBridge is for people involved in managing or caring for sows or their litters, and boars, including operation owners, employees, technicians, managers and technical service providers. Twelve monthly sessions take place on the first Wednesday of the month throughout the year. All sessions start at 11:15 a.m. Central Time and last no longer than 60 minutes, which includes time for questions.

SowBridge is sponsored by a group of 15 university Extension programs with Sarah Schieck Boelke and Lee Johnston of the University of Minnesota Extension serving as program coordinators. Iowa Pork Industry Center coordinates all registration and subscriber mailings.
