Keep yourself safe and help others stay safe, too.
What can you do?
In the safety project, you can:
- Learn about safety for water, fire, electricity and recreational vehicles (bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet skis, boats, etc.).
- Identify farm hazards and make them less dangerous.
- Make a first aid kit or a winter survival kit.
These are just some of the many ways you can participate in this project.
Participate in the ATV safety program to learn how to safely operate an ATV, understand Minnesota ATV laws and regulations, take a safety certification course and more!

What does it mean to show at the fair?
For 4-H'ers, local and state showcase events (like the Minnesota State Fair) are not just fun events. They provide youth opportunities to exhibit the knowledge and skills they've gained throughout the year– and to continue their learning.
