Advancing women’s leadership in rural Minnesota

Seven women in leadership from diverse age and racial groups conversing and uplifting each other.

(Air date: August 25, 2022)

Even as more women step into leadership roles, much work remains to reach true gender equity in workplaces, local government bodies, and other community spaces.  In this episode of Vital Connections On Air, we talk to Teresa Kittridge, founder of 100 Rural Women.

Listen as she shares the work she's doing to amplify women’s voices and support their leadership journey.

“Research shows it takes seven to nine times to ask a woman to run for office before she even considers doing it ... Women feel that they need to be really well-prepared and know all the issues and nuts and bolts before they run for office ... It's getting women to realize they bring many skills and assets to the table, and getting women to realize that no, you've got it, go for it, you can learn when you get there.” — Teresa Kittridge
