Benton County Farm Family

Aman family

The Aman family farm was established in 1929. Bryan’s great grandpa, Willibald, raised sheep – 80 at one point – milked cows and raised crops. Bryan’s grandpa, Michael, milked cows and raised hogs and chickens. Bryan’s dad, James, milked cows, raised hogs and crop farmed.

Currently, the family raises beef cattle and operates a Pilgrim's Pride broiler barn. The Amans also grow corn, soybeans, oats and hay.

Bryan is the CEO of the operation. He makes all major decisions on the farm to make sure the farm operates as smoothly as possible. He puts in long days and knows that farming is a team effort put forth by his family.

His wife, Gretchen, is the farm’s caretaker – taking care of cattle, chickens and family.

Daughter Alexis rolls fields, picks rock, unloads hay/straw, rakes hay, and unloads birds. Alexis was a member of FFA.

Their son Isaac sets up the chicken barn, unloads birds, rakes hay, unloads hay/straw, picks rock, operates the skid loader and helps as a mechanic.

The Amans’ daughter Alaina picks rock, unloads hay/straw, rakes hay, and unloads birds.

Daughter Abby enjoys walking the chicken barn, naming baby calves and taking care of her cats.

Their youngest child, Addison, enjoys walking the chicken barn, playing with the cats and watching baby calves.
