University of Minnesota Extension 4-H spotlights the impact volunteers have on youth and their communities through the Salute to Excellence award and the Northern Lights honor.
This past Saturday, Benton County 4-H hosted its annual Project Adventure Day, bringing together more than 80 youth and volunteers for a day filled with creativity, learning, and hands-on exploration.
Benton County 4-H Ambassadors recently welcomed younger 4-H members for an evening of fun, teamwork, and service during Youth Activity Night: “Get Patriotic — Discovering the Legacy That Unites Us in 4-H.” The event was planned and led by the county’s 4-H Ambassadors as a way to mentor younger members while exploring what patriotism looks like through leadership, gratitude, and helping others.
Benton County 4-H held an engaging “Get Frosted” Cake Challenge yesterday, giving youth the opportunity to build skills, try something new, and grow in confidence through hands-on learning.

BENTON COUNTY — Leadership, creativity, and purpose were on full display as Benton County 4-H Ambassadors and Camp Counselors in grades 7–12 gathered for a meaningful day of reflection, teamwork, and planning centered around this year’s theme: Get Patriotic: Discovering the Legacy That Unites Us in 4-H.

Congratulations to the 2025 winners, Graham 4-H Club for their outside display and Mayhew Lakers 4-H Club for their inside social media video. The clubs will be awarded pizza for its next club meeting! Thanks also to Granite Clouds for participating as well. Seeing the excitement from our youth about 4-H is so exciting and encouraging.
Benton County 4-H hosted its beloved MEA Holiday Craft and Painting Class this past Thursday, bringing creativity and holiday spirit to local youth and families. Nearly seventy participants filled the room with energy and laughter as they completed eleven different craft sessions, guided by forty-six dedicated adult 4-H volunteers and 4-H Ambassadors.
Benton County 4-H kicked off National 4-H Week with an evening full of celebration, inspiration, and community pride at the 2025 4-H Open House & Achievement Night, held Sunday, October 5 at First Presbyterian Church in Foley.
