4-H clover Anoka County 4-H - duck decoy carving program

The duck decoy carving program presented in partnership with Anoka County 4-H & volunteer Dave Jacobs, sponsored in part by the Minnesota Decoy Collectors Association and the MN Decoy and Wildlife Carving Club. As part of this program, youth will learn how to carve, then paint a duck decoy. The finished decoy can be used for hunting or as a piece of art to display.

The duck that we will be carving is the Black duck.

Carving dates: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 - January 28, 2024 (no meeting Dec 31)

About the instructor:  Adult 4-H volunteer, Dave Jacobs, will lead this program. Dave has taught youth to carve duck decoys for over five years in in-person formats. To learn more about Dave and carving decoys check out this YouTube video showing a past program.
