4-H clover 4-H'er honored by Kiwanis Sunrisers of Winona

Kamea N. was recognized as the Winona County 4-H Youth Representative for the month of August. She is the daughter of Jeff and Melissa N. and member of the Valley View Volunteers 4-H Club. Kamea will be a senior at Lewiston Altura High School this fall. 

Throughout her time in 4-H Kamea has exhibited a variety of projects including performing arts, photography, food and nutrition and crafts and fine arts. Kamea says performing arts has been her favorite project. “I love to play the piano. Playing the Lion King Medley was my favorite performance because it challenged me and it was a fun song to play”. Kameas greatest accomplishment in 4-H has been exhibiting in performing arts at the MN State Fair for the past several years.

In addition to exhibiting projects at the Winona County Fair and MN State Fair Kamea has participated in a variety of activities with her club including Adopt a Highway, making blankets for children with cancer, bowling, fair clean up, helping in the 4-H Food Stand and adopting a family at christmas. Kamea shared “ I have gained a lot of confidence in public speaking and performances through 4-H which will help me in the future”. We wish Kamea the best of luck in her future plans and are grateful for her continued contributions to the 4-H program.
