4-H clover Youth 6th grade and up can be a part of Y.E.S.

Youth Energizing System (Y.E.S.) is the Anoka County 4-H youth leaders/ambassador group designed for teens to connect, develop leadership skills, and serve the 4-H program and community. We meet once a month and learn about teamwork and leadership skills. 4-H’ers will be empowered to recognize their personal leadership strengths and put them to use by contributing to the communities they are a part of.

Y.E.S.

…for any 4-H’er 6th grade and up.
…a place in 4-H just for you to develop friendships and connections in 4-H.
…opportunity to support the larger Anoka County program with ideas and action! Together we find ways that teens can help make our Anoka program stronger.
…plan and host fun events for teens in 4-H: social, community service, teambuilding, leadership.
…develop leadership skills in big and small ways such as: lead a group activity, serve on a planning committee, share ideas, and more!

Can’t come every month? No worries! We know schedules are busy. Come to Y.E.S. when you can and be involved at a pace that works for you.

Are you ready for “more” in 4-H? It’s time to work on planning committees and teams! You can help on committees to plan events such as Y.E.S. Camp or helping organize a project workshop. Being on committees and working in teams helps develop critical skills in organization, time management, communication and more!

Are you ready to lead? Try your hand at running for the Y.E.S. board. Get involved and see what happens behind the scenes! To be an officer you must have been in 4-H for one year, be committed to attending all Y.E.S. general meetings and serving on a committee, & be willing to lead, learn and have fun!

Officer roles to be filled: President, Vice President, Secretary
Committee Chairs: Recreational Activities, Community Service Activities
