National 4-H Conference will be held Mar. 20-24, 2022.
Youth from all US states, US territories and Canadian provinces are invited to attend the annual National 4-H Conference in the Washington, DC area this spring. While attending, youth participants are assigned to groups to work in partnership with federal agencies, departments, or 4-H partnership organizations to plan and prepare a briefing that provides youth voices on important topics. They also participate in workshops, networking events and get to do some site-seeing in the Washington, DC area.
Who:
- Youth currently in grades 10-12 are invited to apply; 4-8 youth will be selected.
How:
- Application instructions available online, includes written essays and submission of a video interview by January 9 at 11:59pm.
- Submission of a reference from a non-relative by January 12 at 11:59pm.
Cost:
- This experience is funded in part by the University of Minnesota Foundation. If selected, you should be expected to contribute $1000-$1500.
- Local 4-H financial support may be available, contact your 4-H office for more information.
