Beth Johnson has been volunteering for Roseau County 4-H for over a decade.

A 4-H alumna herself, Beth was drawn to volunteering because of her belief that all young people need a non-parent adult that is a stable, positive person in their lives.

“Beth goes above and beyond in her volunteer role, helping support an active after-school club that has been growing for the past 10 years,” says Kelsey Berger, Extension educator in Roseau County.

She currently leads an after-school club– the Cool Clover Kids– and her dedication to and leadership of the program has really allowed it to flourish.

“Beth’s role in leading the club for youth in grades 3 and above has helped bridge the Cloverbud experience to the next level, encouraging youth to thrive in 4-H,” says Berger.

Beth is a highly cherished person within the Roseau County 4-H program and is greatly loved by many. Because of this, it was no surprise that she was the 2023 recipient of the Minnesota 4-H Salute to Excellence Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award.

“I want to highlight Beth's positivity and heart that she puts into all things 4-H. The light it brings to the community does not go unnoticed,” says Berger.
