4-H – A successful experience

  • Members can choose which projects they want to learn about and what events and activities they want to attend.
  • The more a youth is involved in 4-H, the more they get from the experience. Expand your comfort zone and try new experiences.

4-H focuses on family involvement

  • Many events/workshops are designed for the whole family to attend.
  • Parent/adult involvement supports a successful 4-H experience.
    • Sharing your knowledge and skills with the club members
    • Encouraging your child(ren)’s involvement
    • Celebrating your child(ren)’s successes

Parents/adults are a key to the success of 4-H

They can volunteer to help as:

  • 4-H club leaders (guide the 4-H club)
  • Project leaders (share your knowledge and/or skills with club members)
  • Event leader (guiding club’s involvement in a 4-H event or activity)

We're here to help

When you have a question, we want you to ask. Your 4-H club leader, other parents, and the 4-H staff at the County Extension Office are here to help your family have a meaningful experience in the Chisago County 4-H program.
