4-H clover Carver County Shooting Sports and Wildlife 2024

Welcome to the Carver County 4-H Shooting Sports/ Wildlife Project Page

Learn important life skills through safe and educational experiences. You'll explore firearms safety and the importance of conserving Minnesota's natural resources. Trained and certified 4-H leaders throughout Minnesota lead this program.

Registered members in 3rd grade and older can participate in Shooting Sports and Wildlife.  Cloverbuds can participate in Wildlife only.

Carver County SS/ WL project is held at the New Germany City Hall, 300 Broadway Street E, New Germany, during the winter months.  In the spring/ summer the project is held at the Carver County Sportsman Club, 9701 Rock Ave, Cologne.

In order to participate

  • Be enrolled in 4HOnline and pick Shooting Sports project area and sign the required consent.
  • Attend the kick-off party
  • Pay the registration fee to the office on or before the kick off meeting.  Never let registration costs keep you from participating, reach out to the office.
  • Cost to participate is $50.  Checks made payable to Carver County 4-H.  Mail to: Carver Co 4-H, 11360 Hwy 212 W Suite 4, Cologne, MN  55322
  • Check your hours on this google sheet.- Look for your name on the bottom tabs.

2024 tentative schedule

Thursday, February 22, 5-10 PM - Kick Off and inventory, Carver County Public Works, Cologne

February 29, 6-9 PM - indoor practice, New Germany City Hall (NGCH)

March 7. 14, 21, 28, 6-9 PM - indoor practice, NGCH

April 4, 11. 18, 6-9 PM - NGCH


NGCH – New Germany City Hall – 300 Broadway Street E, New Germany 

CCSC – Carver County Sportsman Club  – 9701 Rock Ave, Cologne

CCPWB – Carver County Public Works Building – 11360 HWY 212, Cologne

If practices can not be held at stated facilities due to weather or conflicting schedules of facilities, SS&W will meet at the Carver County Public Works Building


Youth in grades 3+ (2023-2024 school year)


$50.00 payable to Carver County 4-H (memo shooting sports) sent to Carver County 4-H, 11360 Hwy 212 W Suite 4, Cologne, MN  55322
