4-H clover 4-H events at the Traverse County Fair

It's almost fair time! The Traverse County Fair provides a great opportunity for 4-H members to show what they have learned in their projects this year.

See below for the full schedule of 4-H events at the Traverse County Fair.

Thursday, Aug. 21

  • 9 a.m. - H & H VET check-ins for livestock
  • 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. - General project judging (includes horticulture, food revue and fashion revue) at the Exhibit Building
  • 1 p.m. - Cake decorating contest at the Canteen (sign up list)
  • 10 a.m. - Livestock judging at the Livestock Barn. We will judge in the following order: poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine, dairy goat, meat goat, dairy and beef
  • 6 - 8 p.m. - Traverse County Sportsman Club and 4-H Duck House Building at the Canteen (sign up list)
  • 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 4-H Canteen open

Friday, Aug. 22

  • 11 a.m. - Blue Ribbon Auction at the Livestock Barn
  • 11:30 a.m. - Button Raffle drawing followed by Farm Family of the Year award at the Livestock Barn
  • 1 p.m. - 4-H Animal Costume Contest South of the Barn (sign up list)
  • 4 p.m. - Rock painting at the Canteen (sign up list)
  • 5 p.m. - Bingo at the Canteen
  • 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. - 4-H Canteen open

Saturday, Aug. 23

  • 9 - 11 a.m. - Rolls and Rejoice Coffee at the Free Will Offering at the
    Canteen
  • 10 a.m. - Minnow Races at the free stages, all are welcome!
  • 12:30 p.m. - 4-H Bingo at the Canteen
  • 1:30 p.m. - Flying Carp Craft at the Canteen (sign up list)
  • 3 p.m. - Minnow Races at the free stages, all are welcome!
  • 4:45 p.m. - 4-H picture of all 4-H alumni and youth at the Livestock Barn (following the kids pedal pull)
  • 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. - 4-H Canteen open

Sunday, Aug. 24

  • 9 - 11 a.m. - Rolls and rejoice coffee at the free will offering at the Canteen
  • 3 p.m. - Animal check out at the Livestock Barn
  • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - 4-H Canteen open
