4-H clover 2024 Summer Meal Support

A plate of apple sandwiches

School is out for the summer, which means students lose access to meals they count on during the school year. The new Summer EBT program provides a one-time grocery benefit of $120 per child to help parents and caregivers put food on the table.

Food insecurity and hunger tend to spike during school break because kids are often at home while parents are working and the grocery bills add up fast. That’s why the University of Minnesota Extension and North Dakota State University Extension created the 2024 Summer Meal Guide specifically for busy parents on a tight budget.

This free tool is packed with ideas for tasty breakfast, lunch, and snack options that kids love, plus printable weekly shopping lists and menus that take the guesswork out of meal preparation
