My name is Abby Zmolek, and I have been involved in the horse world since I was about 5 years old! I started showing in Olmsted County 4-H when I was 9, and continued until my final year in 2019. I showed in just about every class that was offered, from keyhole to English Equitation! I was also a member of the drill team for a few years. I attended the State 4-H Horse Show multiple times, along with WSCA’s Champ Show each year in the fall. I have multiple top 10 placings from each show.I went to college at University of Wisconsin River Falls, where I was active on the rodeo team, and graduated with a degree in Equine Science. Nowadays you’ll find me at a lot of the local barrel races, and every now and then we’ll go to a SEMSCA show. I have a 4 year old mare (not pictured) who is my futurity prospect for 2025, and an 11 year old gelding who keep me pretty busy!My 4-H and WSCA horse, Junior (above) started to enjoy his retirement the summer of 2023. He gave me so many fond memories, and taught me more than I can comprehend. I’ve had Junior since 2010, and have been showing him since 2011. He definitely deserves his retirement!Horses have and always will be a very important part of my life, and I am excited to share some of the things I have learned over the years with Olmsted County 4H’ers!
