4-H clover Carver County Beginning Photography Workshop

Carver County 4 H is excited to offer a Beginning Photography Workshop for youth in grades 3–13!
Join us on July 6 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. at the Carver County Commons Building on the fairgrounds, 501 W 3rd St, Waconia.
Local resident and photography hobbyist Tim Clark will guide participants through the fundamentals of what makes a great photo and how to tell a story through images. The workshop begins with a short, engaging discussion on photography basics—complete with examples of both strong and not so strong photos.
From there, youth will head outside to explore the fairgrounds and put their new skills into practice by photographing a variety of subjects. The session concludes with a fun “show and tell” where participants receive supportive feedback and tips for improvement.
All photos will be taken using a phone, so please bring a charged phone and a bottle of water.

Also on hand will be examples and handouts about judging at the state fair from a local 4-H member.
