Join us for an engaging evening of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) exploration on May 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Public Works Building in Cologne.
Learn about the 2024 Engineering Design Challenge (EDC) and delve into the world of Lego robotics through interactive activities and conversations. Plus, enjoy delicious pizza during the event!
This event is a fun experience to use your creative building skills and learn more about the 2024 EDC Challenge theme: "Engineering for a Changing Climate."
EDC is a statewide 4-H event for youth in grades 3 and up to work in teams to design and build a Rube Goldberg™ type machine that solves a two-step task.
The goal of the EDC is to use engineering to encourage young people's creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. Youth will experiment with hands-on engineering activities, solve challenges and learn how to construct a machine while having fun.
Adults are also invited to attend to learn more about becoming involved in supporting their local team in reaching their EDC goals.
