As adults, we are supporting the growth of our youth into strong leaders. It is important for us to recognize where we are empowering youth to be leaders now, not just in the future. We are responsible for making space for their voice in all of our programs so they can learn, grow and flourish.
During this training, we will reflect on our personal beliefs about youth voice and our behaviors in youth-adult partnerships. We will also learn about the essential ingredients in strengthening youth voice and youth-adult partnerships in our program.
The goals of this training are to:
This training is for 4-H club leaders, volunteers in charge of 4-H programs, volunteers who support youth in their club or county-wide committees and youth who want to support adults learning about giving them a voice.
The Minnesota 4-H volunteer systems team is offering two statewide webinars:
The same content is being offered on both dates. You need to attend only one.
Each webinar is scheduled for 90 minutes. Zoom meeting information will be provided upon registration.
Several local 4-H programs are offering an in-person option for this training. Check with your local 4-H educator to see what is being offered locally.
Current and prospective Minnesota 4-H volunteers, community members and youth in grades 6 and up.
This offering is delivered in English. Interpreter services may be available with an advance request.
