4-H clover We Need Volunteers!

We need volunteers!  Lac qui Parle County has county-wide committees that need volunteers to be active and involved.

Food stand committee

This committee plans the operation of the 4-H food stand, which is the county's largest fundraiser.  This committee leads in the summer clean-up and setup of the food stand. This committee also makes decisions for the betterment of the building and picks up donations that are given.

Projects unlimited committee

This committee plans and implements fashion revue activities and takes charge of the exhibit building.  This is a hard-working group that makes decisions for the overall look of the exhibit building.

Building maintenance committee

This committee is a hard-working committee that uses the skills of many for the overall improvement and repairs of the buildings.  They also direct the take in and take out of the storage.

Fundraising volunteers

The county fruit sales and butterbraids fundraiser needs four adults to decide on prices, be in contact with the companies, tally the final orders and direct the delivery at the Bottling Plant in March.

Livestock volunteers

Lac qui Parle County needs volunteers to help youth explore the variety of livestock projects - leasing animals, purchasing options, nutrition, showing basics and more.

Many volunteer opportunities

The 4-H program would also enjoy having volunteers spark the interest of the youth by teaching a variety of learning experiences!

There are so many opportunities to volunteer and it only takes a small part to make the 4-H program a success.

Please contact MaryAnn - ander071@umn.edu or call 320-598-3325 to sign up.
