4-H clover Notes for Presentation Day participants

Presentation Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, at E Free Church, Benson (900 13th St S) in Benson. Note, that again this year, this is a combined event with Stevens County. Below is a schedule for the day; please be on time, as we have a tight judging schedule!

Your projects will be taken home with the 4-Hers and returned to the County Fair at 4-H Entry Day on August 14. If the projects are not returned, you will not receive any premiums for those project areas. This includes Clothing, Quilting, Food Revue and Performing Arts projects with tangible projects. For Food Revue exhibits, return your menu and recipe sheet for display–you are invited to set up your entire display in the exhibit building too!

We will use the FairEntry online registration system. It can be accessed online or through the Swift County 4-H mobile app. Registration opens July 1. All clothing and presentation day projects must be registered by July 15, this includes Fashion Revue scripts, Performing Arts titles etc. If you need assistance registering, please us the FairEntry User Guide.

Exhibit specific notes...

Clothing: It is optional to participate in the public Fashion Revue and Arts Recital to be held at 1 p.m. There will also be a public Fashion Revue at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 17 at the Swift County Fair.

Demonstrations: Judging will take place after the public Fashion Revue and Arts Recital. Please indicate in the description section of FairEntry if there is any equipment you may need.

Food Revue: We will have 8.5 x 11-inch frames to display your menu and recipe card that day.

Performing Arts: All Performing Arts "Live" (performance) projects will be judged as part of Presentation Day. Again, this year:  We will not have a separate judging and recital; all judging and public performances will be done at the same time; participants will perform, then meet individually with the judge.

There will be lunch available for participants and families; the lunch will be provided for a cost of $2 per person.  Please email Grace, thom8934@umn.edu how many in your family plan to eat lunch.

Feel free to call the Extension Office at 843-3796 or email Becca at turnq069@umn.edu or Grace at thom8934@umn.edu with any questions that may arise.

**PLEASE REGISTER for Clothing, Quilting, Food Revue, Demonstration and Performing Arts projects in FairEntry by SATURDAY, JULY 15. **
