4-H clover Kandiyohi County 4-H Horse Riding Lessons

Monday, July 22 - Focusing on a successful Fair- All members should attend
Required Parent Meeting - 6:30PM

Classes are split between Beginners and Advanced EXCEPT Games which begins at 6:30 pm for everyone.

6:30-7:45 pm Beginners (1st and 2nd year members only)

7:45-9:00 pm Advanced (3+ year members)
**A parent or designated adult should be present in case of an emergency. **

Please read carefully! 

  • Remember, in order to participate with your horse you MUST submit your negative COGGINS test online per instructions sent by the 4-H office. 
  • Everyone MUST wear boots and jeans! 
  • Helmets are REQUIRED! *State Policy in 2007: Every person that rides MUST wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet or you will NOT be allowed to ride!

Audience

Kandiyohi County 4-H Horse members in grades 3-13.

Cost

There is an annual lesson fee of $60 per member or $120 maximum per family. 

  • This fee MUST be paid by June 3rd. After June 3rd there will be an additional flat late fee of $60.

  • Payments should be mailed to: Kandiyohi County Extension Office, 2200 23rd St NE, Suite 2025, Willmar, MN 56201.

  • Payments will NOT be accepted during lessons.

  • Call the Extension office at 320-231-7890 if you would like to pay by debit/credit card. 

  • Scholarships may be available - contact Kylee Sherod for more information.
