This week's spotlight is on 4-H'er Bryce W. He is a twelfth grade 4-H member and has been in 4-H for seven years. He is an independent member and is involved in the photography, shooting sports, self determined and crafts and fine arts projects. He has also served as an Isanti County 4-H Ambassador.

Bryce's favorite 4-H event is the State Shoot and Wildlife Invitational. "It's awesome to go out there and demonstrate the skills and talents I have learned throughout the year," he says. Bryce also adds that hanging out with people from Isanti County and spending the week doing what he loves is what makes it so special.

Being an Isanti County 4-H Ambassador has also created some great memories for Bryce. "My first year as an Ambassador for the county I got to help out in classes for B-BOP. The whole weekend was awesome. Between helping out with the kids and hanging out with all the Ambassadors I made so many great memories I'll never forget," he remarks.

4-H has made an impact on Bryce over the years. In addition to making friends and building memories, he says, "4-H has helped me become a better leader and a better person overall. My leadership skills are one thing that 4-H helped me improve drastically. I wouldn't be where I am today without 4-H!" Volunteers have also made an impact on him. Bryce says at his first couple of 4-H events he was shy and scared to talk to other kids. All of the volunteers he met helped him get involved and meet new people.

Bryce's advice to anyone considering joining 4-H is this: "Just do it! 4-H has helped me develop so many important skills that have assisted me in day to day life. There’s plenty of fun events like B-BOP, Project Workshop Day, and of course the county fair. Leadership opportunities and ways to grow in friendships and skills are limitless. 4-H as a whole has changed me for the better. If you’re thinking about it, just do it! You’ll never look back."
