OFFAL wildlife graphic

The Offal Wildlife Watching project is asking volunteer hunters to put out their cameras to help collect data on scavengers that visit gut piles.

Please follow this directions for the project::

  1. Set the camera to take at least 2 pictures when triggered by motion. This is not always possible on every camera, so don't worry too much about it.
  2. Clean your deer as you would normally. (put up cameras right away)
  3. Attach the camera to a tree or post 2-3 feet off the ground.
  4. Attach the camera 7-10 feet from the gut pile (3-4 paces).
  5. Ensure that the camera field-of-view contains the entire gut pile.
  6. Leave camera in the field for one month

If you are interested in participating but do not have a camera, indicate this on the sign up.  If you are interested in participating, please sign up using this signupgenius.
