It's time to start preparing for the 2024 Pine County Fair!
IDs for market beef (beef steers, market heifers, and dairy steers) are due Thursday, February 15 by 11:59pm. All market beef MUST be owned, tagged with a MN 4-H ear tag, and identified in 4-H Online by February 15, 2024 in order to be eligible for champion ribbons, State Fair/state show trips, and livestock auction.
Important notes:
- You must have submitted your enrollment for the current 4-H year in order to ID your animals.
- Cloverbuds are not required to identify their project animals.
Animal ID tags are now available in our office. Extension Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, but please call ahead to ensure staff is available to assist you.
Beef information packets are being mailed to all families with beef identified as a project area on their enrollment. If you do not receive this packet by January 15, please call our office or access the Pine County market beef information online. You can also access market beef ID information online z.umn.edu/PineBeefID.
