At the Swift County 4-H Federation meeting on Monday, October 23, 2023 the proposed budget was discussed. In effort to encourage youth to attend leadership events the following motion was made:
If a 4-H youth participates in the annual 4-H fruit sale fundraiser and works a shift at the Food stand, they will pay half the registration cost of the 4-H leadership event. After they have attended the event and share about their experience with their 4-H club or 4-H Federation, then the Federation will reimburse the participants registration fee.
4-H Leadership events include attending Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU), Youth Exploring Leadership and Learning Opportunities (YELLO), Junior Leader Workshop (JLW), Teens Engaged in Emerging Leadership (TEEL), Citizen Washington Focus (CWF), National 4-H Conference, camp counselor expenses, and more.
