4-H clover County 4-H'er Honored by Kiwanis Sunrisers of Winona

Tiegan Prigge was recognized as the Winona County 4-H Youth Representative for the month of November. She is the daughter of Terri and Trevor Prigge, a senior at Lewiston-Altura High School and a member of the Valley View Volunteers 4-H Club. Following graduation Tiegan plans to get her bachelor's degree in Radiography.

Tiegan has exhibited rabbits, goats and dairy steers as well as quilting, crafts and fine arts, cake decorating, photography, youth leadership, archery wood working and foods projects at the Winona County Fair. Her favorite project is showing dairy steers. Tiegan says “ I love building a connection with my steer and tend to do very well in showmanship which shows off the hard work and dedication I put into my project. The people I show with also make the experience very enjoyable!” Tiegan’s favorite 4-H memory was getting Grand Champion Intermediate Showman at the MN State Fair.

Tiegan has participated in many community service activities including Operation Christmas Child, Soles4souls, spring yard clean-up and more! She shared that “Participating in 4-H has taught me hard work, dedication and how much volunteering impacts the community. It takes a lot of patience, hard work and dedication to work with your animal every day but the persistence pays off in the end. I love helping people around the community and encourage everyone to volunteer as much as they can!”

Winona Sunrisers Kiwanis Club honors one outstanding Winona County 4-H member during its breakfast meeting the fourth Wednesday of each month. The club meets on a weekly basis every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the Winona Family Restaurant in Winona.
