The Officer Training is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the multimedia room.
If you miss the training session, the Club Secretary and Treasurer booklets are available in the Extension Office for pickup or online. It is vital that the club officers - president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and reporter all have mentors to assist them in doing their elected position.
Meetings need to follow parliamentary procedure, the treasurer and secretary books need to be kept updated each month and these officers need to notify the club with the information. The reporter needs to report the club information and pictures to the newspapers so the public knows what the club is doing. They also need to promote the club on the radio with a good voice. The vice president needs to assist the president in many ways and step in to a position if another officer is absent. Pairing the new officers with an adult or past officer helps with the success of the job the best.
