It's time to start preparing for the 2026 Pine County Fair!

ID's for all 4-H animal projects are due Friday, May 15 by 11:59pm. 4-H animal projects include: breeding heifers, cow/calf pairs, prospect calves (steers and heifers), dairy, dairy goats, dog, horse, meat goats, poultry (including doves and pigeons), rabbits, sheep, and swine. Animals MUST be identified in 4-H Online by May 15, 2026 in order to be eligible for champion ribbons, and State Fair/state show trips. All market beef should have been identified by February 17, 2026.

Important notes:

  • You must have submitted your enrollment for the current 4-H year in order to ID your animals.
  • Cloverbuds are not required to identify their project animals; however, they need to meet all Board of Animal Health requirements.

Animal ID tags are now available in our office.  Extension Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, but please call ahead to ensure staff is available to assist you.

Animal ID packets have been mailed to all families with 4-H animals identified as a project area on their enrollment. If you do not receive this packet by April 1, please call our office or access animal ID information online at z.umn.edu/PineAnimalID
