4-H clover 4-H is Seeing Wellness in Motion (SWIM)

4-H members, are you looking for ways to keep moving and doing this summer?

SW Minnesota 4-H is offering a new approach to swim teams. SWIM 4-H stands for “Seeing Wellness in Motion.” This program is open to youth who are interested in trying a swimming team program and participating in health and wellness activities.

Swim teams are open to youth grades 3+ or those who can swim 25 yards at a time. Team members can anticipate one or two practices/week which are typically in the morning. Swim meets will begin mid-June and typically run weekly through July, with an all team break over the July 4 weekend. Team travel time will be limited to less than one hour one direction. Each team will host one but not more than two swim meets. This program is not a substitute for swimming lessons.

We are looking for lifeguards, team coordinators, coaches, and screened adults who will help maintain safety of youth practices. Contact your local Extension Educator for more information and to sign up today.
