Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) helps swine transporters, producers and handlers understand how to handle, move and transport pigs and the potential impacts those actions have on pig well-being and pork quality.
Attendees will earn TQA certification by successfully passing the test at the end of the training session. Swine haulers, producers, and handlers need to be recertified every three years to keep their certification current.
If you need to get or renew your TQA certification and a date doesn't work for your schedule, or if your farm has many employees needing certification, contact UMN Extension swine educators Sarah Schieck Boelke (320-235-0726 ext. 2004 or schi0466@umn.edu) or Diane DeWitte (507-384-1745 or stouf002@umn.edu).
