Add to Calendar 2024-06-04 18:00:00 2024-06-04 20:00:00 St. Louis County 4-H Summer Horse Clinics Join us for the St. Louis County 4-H Summer Horse Clinics at the St. Louis County Fairgrounds! Clinics will run Tuesdays, May 28 - July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. (riders need to be ready to ride at 6 p.m.). Topics May 28 - Intro to 4-H horse project (rules and equipment) - No horses. June 4 - Fundamentals of riding with pattern work - Students bring show halter equipment.June 11 - Western Pleasure/Horsemanship skillsJune 18 - Showmanship/Groundwork June 25 - Desensitization/Groundwork - Students bring rope halters with 8 or 10 ft. ropes.July 2 - No clinic.July 9 - Foundational Riding/Barrel Pattern.July 16 - Trail class practice July 23 - Fundamentals of riding Must provide proof of negative Coggins to participate. Join us for the St. Louis County 4-H Summer Horse Clinics at the St. Louis County Fairgrounds!

  • June 4 - Fundamentals of riding with pattern work - Students bring show halter equipment.

  • June 25 - Desensitization/Groundwork - Students bring rope halters with 8 or 10 ft. ropes.
  • July 2 - No clinic.

  • July 23 - Fundamentals of riding 

Must provide proof of negative Coggins to participate.

Audience

All youth in grades 3 and up.

Cost

$50 per rider

Registration opens in 4-H Online on Feb. 20 and closes on May 15.
