The training is taught by 4-H Adult Volunteers who have expertise with dog training. Through 4-H Dog Training, participants will learn basic dog obedience and agility skills and will get to teach their own dogs first-hand! Participants will learn to communicate with their dogs, respect each other and work together as a team, and will learn responsible dog ownership. Training will also cover care of dogs, feeding, dog facts, dos and don’ts, and much more! Best of all, participants will learn how to develop a positive relationship with their own dogs! At the end of the summer, participants will demonstrate what they’ve learned at the 4-H County Dog Show while being evaluated by a judge.
