Participants will be introduced to the Leading Practices in Climate Adaptation: understand, plan, implement, sustain, and engage.
The University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP), with local host Twin Ports Climate Conversations, will conduct the Foundations of Adaptation Leading Practices workshop, which focuses on how to interpret climate data, how climate model data should and shouldn't be applied, leading practices in adaptation, and how to make decisions under deep uncertainty.
Workshop topics will focus on climate issues relevant to the Arrowhead region of Minnesota and on using the Minnesota Climate Mapping and Analysis Tool (MN CliMAT) to access locally relevant information. While primarily focused on Minnesota, MN CliMAT also includes projections and data for most of Wisconsin.
This offering is delivered in English. Interpreter services may be available with an advance request.

After registering, please fill out the pre-workshop evaluation. This survey should take you about 15 minutes to complete.
Before the workshop, complete the workshop's Online Introduction Module. The module contains important background information that will help you to get the most out of the workshop content, and it includes lessons on climate modeling and MN CliMAT that we won't be able to cover during the in-person training. It should take you about 45 minutes to complete.
You must register with the learning software to access the course. Contact Suzi Clark if you have any issues accessing the module.
