Woodlands and forests in Minnesota
MN

The goal of the Climate-Ready Woodlands project is to help woodland owners consider climate adaptation strategies for their woods.
We are asking volunteers to help us identify and locate trees on the USDA Forest Service's "Tree Atlas New Habitat with Migration Potential" lists that can grow in at least one of Minnesota's 11 ecoregions. This iNaturalist project is to help us understand if these species are already growing in Minnesota and, if so, where.
Family woodland owners, natural resource professionals and community members can all be climate-ready woodland volunteers. Together we can learn more about these species.
