In this workshop you will learn how to use sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol to create tie dye style designs on a white t-shirt. This class, offered during Project Workshop Day this year, was such a hit that we decided to offer it again as its own event so that you can take your time to create a beautiful masterpiece!This workshop is for youth grades K-5. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay and assist their child (It is preferred that cloverbuds have a parent present but it is not required). Tie dye shirt

The Sewing and Needle Arts Committee is hosting a Sharpie marker Tie Dye workshop where you will have the opportunity to learn and try the magic of tie dye without the mess. Audience

  • All Anoka County 4-H youth in grades K - 5. Parents are also welcome to stay and assist their child.
  • Maximum of 30 participants. 

Cost

$10 per participant (Fee covers all materials needed, and snacks. Please have lunch before you come)

Checks should be made payable to Anoka County 4-H and can be dropped off at our office Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. There is a secure drop box located outside our office door if staff are not present.

You are also welcome to pay by credit card. You can pay for all youth in one transaction.

Fee must be received by the deadline of Wednesday, May 1.  

Registration

Register by Wednesday, May 1 through your 4-H Online account. 

  • If you have a family account in 4-H Online, login and then click on Events on the left side of the screen; event is "Anoka County 4-H Tie Dye workshop". Then select members name. On the next screen, click “Start Registration”.
  • If you are new to 4-H, you'll need to set up an account. Creating an account does not require commitment for future participation. Select "In-person 4-H Camp/Event-Anoka County" for Club and "Clothing and Textiles or Cloverbud" for projects.  Once your account is approved, view the 4-H Online event registration guide for help in registering for the event.
