4-H Hit Me with Your Best Shot Photo Contest

Minnesota 4-H Photography is excited to offer a multi-state photography contest open to youth in grades K-13!

In the "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" 4-H photo contest, youth are encouraged to select their best photo and tell the committee why it's special to them.

How it works

Select one photo (with no or minimal editing) that is special to you and submit it with up to three sentences that explain why.

Submit one (1) jpg or jpeg image and statement to fourhphoto@umn.edu by 11:59 p.m. CST on May 1, 2024. 

In the email, use the subject line "4-H Best Shot Photo Contest." In the body of the email, please include the member's name, grade and state, as this is a multi-state challenge. 

You will receive a confirmation email once your email submission has been received and your registration verified. Note: Please be patient with receiving the confirmation email, as it is not automated - a staff member has to do it.

Rules

• All youth (grades K-13) are welcome but must be enrolled in 4-H. 
• 4-H members must be the ones taking pictures.
• Photos must be taken during the 2023-2024 4-H year.  
• Subject matter is open, but must be appropriate.
• Photo submissions must be completed in one email by 11:59 p.m. CST on May 1, 2024. Submissions received in more than one email will not be accepted. 
• Everyone who participates in the photography contest will have their names entered in a random drawing for prizes.
• Volunteer photography judges will provide feedback and recognize the top-quality images.
• Submitted photos and statements will be shared through an online slideshow.
