Join us on June 4 for 4-H Foley Day Camp #1: Animals on the Farm!
How many farm animals have you met up close and in person? Have you held or touched different farm animals? Do you know the types of foods the different animals provide? The 4-H camp counselors are super excited to bring their animals to this day camp for you to meet and learn about.
We plan to have a cow, sheep, goat, llama, chicken, and rabbit. You will find out how to raise these animals, show them at the county fair and find out interesting things you may never have known about them. We will also learn about zoonotics as you become a disease detective.
Foley day campers need to bring a bag lunch and a water bottle, as Foley no longer has the food program.
4-H Foley Day Camps are held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following Tuesdays, June 4, 11 and 18.
Each day camp will focus on a different science discovery topic:
- June 4 - Animals on the farm
- June 11 - Hawaiian color explosion
- June 18 - Engineering and construction exploration
Audience
Youth that have completed grades 3 through 6.
