About the 4-H Agriculture Education Leader program

Freeborn, Steele and Waseca counties have come together to create a 4-H Agriculture Education Leader program designed to give young people passionate about agriculture a pathway to promote 4-H and agriculture. By providing agricultural tours like this, the program provides opportunities for these youth to network with others that will help them grow as individuals and strengthen their knowledge of the agriculture industry through career exploration and community engagement.  

Audience

Youth in grades 6 and up in Freeborn, Steele and Waseca counties

Cost

$200 per person

The registration fee includes busing, hotel stay, some meals and tours/activities. Talk to your county, as there may be scholarships to help with the cost.

Registration

Registration is now open in 4-H Online for youth in Freeborn, Steele and Waseca counties until June 7. Hurry to register, as space is limited to 40 participants. 

Youth in Rice and Dakota counties can register in 4-H Online (depending on availability) beginning on May 24 until June 7.
