Start the school year off by including food safety in your annual training meeting for school food service workers. Trainings are led by an Extension food safety educator.
Food service workers will increase their food safety knowledge and confidence by participating in small group discussions, large group activities, and reviewing scenarios to apply the information.
How it works
The seminar will take approximately 2 hours
The first hour covers essential food safety information so employees understand the why and how behind safe practices. The second hour is customized to your specific training needs. Topics could be based on recurring violations during audits and inspections, rollout of a new procedure, or other priorities.
Past training customizations have included, but are not limited to:
- Food allergens due to an increasing number of students with unique needs
- No cellphones while working
- Time as a Public Health Control
Cost
$100
