4-H clover Ignite by 4-H

For four days, teens from all over the country gather in Washington, D.C., to collaborate, connect and cultivate a passion for expanding their minds and their world.

In the process, they become resilient and ready for everything life has to offer.

No matter their interest — whether in animal science, service, STEM or sparking change — teens turn passion into purpose at Ignite by 4-H.

What to expect

Teens will immerse themselves in hands-on workshops, experiences and activities in their key programming areas of agriscience, animal science, community accelerators, CWF @ Ignite, healthy living or STEM to continue to find their spark.

With the addition of public speaking, career and life readiness and presentation workshops, teens will be able to apply what they learn to their own lives and take a step forward to become beyond ready for the future.

Ignite 2027 continues to provide teens with opportunities to explore traditional and emerging career paths, build confidence and connect with peers from across the country — and even the world.

Who can apply

Minnesota 4-H sponsors a delegation of youth to attend this event each year. Applications will be open June 1-29, 2026.

Participation is open to youth in grades 10-12 at the time of the trip.
